Spectating Spots

Where are the best places on the course to watch the action?

Toboggan is a fairly open course with the ability to spectate multiple holes at once. Most spectators follow their favorite player throughout the course, which will require a VIP badge. A great spot to sit and watch multiple cards play is near hole 1’s tee/18’s green, 16/17 tee area, and 3’s tee. General Admission spectators will be able to access these aforementioned areas.

What can I do when I am not spectating?

Each venue will have plenty of additional activities to provide an enjoyable experience at the event. Black Locust will feature a robust tournament central with a variety of food and merch vendors, a 9 hole mini course, a playground for kids to play on, two video boards for watching the action, SlotShot games at the SlotShot booth and several other activities.

At Toboggan, we will have a wide variety of food and merch vendors, a full 18 hole mini course in  tournament central, a Zip Line on Saturday and Sunday, climbing walls and inflatables on Saturday and Sunday, SlotShot games at the SlotShot booth, two catch cam video boards to sit and watch the action, two additional video boards for watching the action and several other activities for kids and adults alike.

What access do VIP’s get?

VIP spectators are offered VIP viewing areas with seats/bleachers in prime locations with the ability to follow cards in most areas. The highest level of VIP passes will provide the best access. Our Platinum, Gold and Silver VIP tickets will offer unrestricted access to follow cards at each course. Our Bronze VIP ticket will offer broad access to follow cards at each course, with minor limitations at each course. Our Daily VIP tickets offer the same access as the Bronze ticket, with some minor limitations for viewing at each course.

What access to General Admission tickets get?

General Admission tickets for each course provide access to tournament central and viewing opportunities that vary based on the course. At Toboggan, General Admission provides access to tournament central, which includes viewing on holes 1, 18, 2’s green, 15’s tee, 3’s tee, and then provides access to the Toboggan run between 1 and 18, which leads General Admission spectators to the main GA viewing area on the course. This main GA viewing area includes the left side of hole 17, hole 16, the green of hole 15 and then the entire stretch of road that goes from 13’s tee to 8’s green. General Admission ticket holders are not allowed to follow cards on the course and General Admission access will only provide viewing on the back side of the course from the road that travels behind hole 8’s green down past hole 17. At Toboggan we are also selling a Limited General Admission pass which allows access to the Tournament Central area and the viewing allowed in that area. It does not allow those ticketholders to go down any of the Toboggan runs onto the course.

At Black Locust, General Admission access provides prime viewing opportunities on holes 12 through 18 and access to tournament central, our mini course, food vendors and merch vendors, but does not provide viewing access on the front 11 holes. The General Admission ticket does provide access to our video board in tournament central.

Where can I play disc golf when I am in town?

Southeast Michigan offers a variety of disc golf options outside of Kensington Metropark. Hudson Mills Metropark and Independence Lake each have two courses, while Cass Benton is a classic Michigan course that will also be available for play during the week. Bald Mountain is a more intense course and a longer drive from Kensington Metropark, but is an option for those wanting a more advanced course.

Tips, Etiquette, and Rules for Spectators

Prepare for the weather. Sunscreen, bug spray, water, and good walking shoes are essential.

How can I meet the pros?
